ABOUT OUR CHURCH

Thank you for visiting the website for Faith Independent Missionary Baptist church! We look forward to ministering to you as we preach and teach Jesus Christ.

We are an Independent, premillennial, missions minded, landmark Baptist church in the Egypt - Lake area of Tampa, Florida. We are an established local church in the community, committed to pointing people toward a saving faith in Jesus Christ and a personal relationship with God. 

Our church was established in 1972 under the leadership of Pastor Doyle Worley, the founding pastor. The church purchased her property on Silver lake and Habana in 1977. Church services started to take place in the building that is now our fellowship hall, with 31 charter members.

In 1981, William "Bill" Riley was called to the pulpit ministry at Faith Baptist. He served as the assistant, associate, and senior pastor before the Lord called him home to glory. God did a mighty work under the ministry of Pastor Riley. He loved the Lord, the church, and others. 

In June of 2020, the church called Matthew L. Hines to follow in the footsteps of these men and assume the office of pastor.
